Love’s Labour (Day) Lost September 3, 2007

Posted by TheHype in Linkage , trackback |

I’ve never actually read Love’s Labour Lost from o’l Billy S. there, but the play was part of the integral plot of a recent Doctor Who episode, so… you know … “Labour”… “Labor Day” … yeah (I’m. A. Dork.)

Not much to talk about today, since the blog pulse seems to be on nap time and the NBA finally takes a breather.

(Hey Jameer Nelson, prayers are with you and your family.)

Team USA takes the FIBA Americas crown last night — that was the only game I haven’t seen… well, literally, because my monitor (was watching it online) was commandeered by pirates “others” so I only had the play-by-play to listen to. Quel magnifique!

Hmm, fall semester starts tomorrow, but jokes’ on my university, I don’ts gots classes scheduled on Tuesdays! Yeah boi, suckas!

So how about some linkies for a rather irrelevant post? Show of hands? … Crap, I just realized I can’t see you, making that last request pretty futile……

– New NBA blog for all to check out, Talkin’ T-Wolves, from the writers and producers of Twins Territory

– Toronto Raptors’ Jorge Garbajosa really, reaaaaally wants to play for Spain at the EuroChampionships.

“When I was growing up I never really dreamed of playing for Barcelona or Madrid, I dreamed of putting on a Spanish national team jersey and so this meant a lot to me,” Garbajosa said yesterday in Spain when he was finally cleared to play, two weeks after the Raptors had denied him permission to take part in the event.

Bryan Colangelo gets some props for letting this happen even as Jorge is still recovering from a sick knee/ankle/leg/”below the waist human part” injury and he’s a big part of the Raps

– Sticking with Euros, DraftExpress previews the big names for us… and of course, the only important name there is San Miguel

– So big time film people are coming to my town in bunches… maybe I should restart my Celebrity Stalker Hunt-Fest 2003?

– and September is a big month for the Heat apparently
