If You Aren’t High, Maybe You Will Be After Watching This September 7, 2007

I’d like to know if Skeets and Tas made a cameo in this craziness…

Cheech and Chong are the ones singing, the name of the song is “Basketball Jones.”
It actually features some really impressive studio talent. I know George Harrison is the one playing the guitar licks, Tom Scott is tenor, Jimmy Keltner is on drums.
Actually, look at this:

That lineup is amazing. Klaus Voorman was all over Harrison and Lennon’s records. Billy Preston is in there. The cheerleader chorus features Darlene Love, Ronnie Spector, and the hot Mama and Papa. Nicky Hopkins (piano) is all over most of the Stones records.
The actual song was kind of a hit.
Ah KD drops the lab knowledge! Thanks!~ That’s some classic lineup.. you gotta wonder which modern “artists” can come together and pull that off?
but I gotta admit … I’m still loopy from the visuals (… this is up there with that scene from Dumbo …)

You have no idea how much you just cleared up for me. Back in the early 2000’s I had a fascinating stoner mumbly roomate whom would often crack himself up saying things like: “that bassetball was like a bassetball to me”. This makes me wonder what else I missed out on whilst ignoring him.
