Ah, an amusing team preview of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City/Traveling Circus Hornets from Hornets247.com. I must chime in with the Chris Paul love-fest as well even though I haven’t seen too many Hornets game last year–his play in the FIBA (though limited) made me say, “Hey! I must chime in with the Chris Paul love-fest!”

They may not quite be the #1 Threat to the NBA this season with all the changes and having superstar Pau Gasol out for quite a stretch of time, but the Grizzlies are still considered dangerous to Stephen Colbert.

On a quiet Saturday mid-afternoon, the Rockets’ bite-sized preview is up (not to mention low in calories). Not much to add to the discussion other than DAAAMMN, the Southwest Division is tough. Good luck to Tracy and Yao because I like their team, but Wins won’t come cheap for them.

I have no idea what the title means either.
Over at Passion & Pride, the Sixers Preview is already one day old. You know what else is old? Iverson. But you know what else is what else? He’s probably going to put up another 40 zillion points a game this season without skipping a beat… which brings up to the doodle for the Sixers…

Special shoutout (and e-high fives) to SunsGossip and their mad funny creations. Since we cartoonisters have to stick together like the inside pages of Maxim magazine (ew ew ew!), I went ahead and took one of their masterpieces and shoved it in the above as a cameo. Hint: it’s not the phone.
As of press time, the Raptors preview is up already, but it’s waaaay pass my milk & cookies/bedtime so I’ll get around to that a bit later.

Paging Eddy Curry! You best watch your minutes son! When you have a mutant lizard that can breathe fire eyeing your starting spot, you gotta post a career year man.
So yeah, the New York Knicks preview comes way of Bench Renaldo. I wonder when Mutoni will let the world know he is, in fact, Renaldo Balkman himself… I’d say before the All-Star break.
I’ll most likely do the next two previews related-doodle/chicken scratches for Thursday, so no sad face emoticons tomorrow okay? Okay.

Y’know, between the NBA Previews from bloggers, SLAM’s Top 50 AND Hoopsaddict.com’s Podcast-A-Day counting down to the start of the 06-07 season, I must say: BLOGGERs eff-ing rule! (with exception of SLAM of course..they’re paid) So much hard work and content, who needs mainstream media?
(Shh, mainstream media, I’m just kidding baby, I won’t ever talk bad about you again, I swear.. aww…come here..)
But I’m no freeloader, all this new stuff coming in has inspired me to dedicate a drawing for each of the team previews that’s coming out this month. (Hopefully I can do one a day, scheduling and/or magical fairies permitting)
Today’s dedication is for the 2 previews that are up, Celtics and the Nets:
Uhh.. I just hope the hardcore Celtic fans won’t stone me for doing a rough imaging of their golden god Red Auerbach.. the other guy is Hova.. but he kinda looks like Biggie there huh? Oh poo… maybe I should reconsider doing this homage thing afterall :P?
